Anudip began operations in 2006 with three training centers in West Bengal.
Anudip's very first training center was inaugurated on May 8, 2006 at Asha Welfare Society in Namkhana, almost at the rivers' confluence with the Bay of Bengal. Since 2006 the number of our centres has grown quickly and by 2011 stretched up toward, around and beyond the metropolis of Kolkata. Most centers are in rural or semi-urban locations, many exemplifying the glorious Sonar Bangla (golden Bengal) celebrated by India's greatest poets and song-writers. Some of our training centers serve urban slum dwellers and minorities.
Since 2006 Anudip has built up a network of market aligned skill development centers that numbered 75 on March 31, 2013. The centers sprawl around Kolkata in larger and larger radii, serving millions of rural poor who are offered livelihoods in and around the city. Since 2012, Anudip has expanded operations to the state of Jharkhand, serving areas around Jamshedpur and Ranchi, and to the state of Odisha serving the districts of Khurda (around Bhubaneswar), Cuttack, Jajpur, Kendrapara and Bhadrak.
More than 75 DREAM centers develop rural entrepreneurs, and we showcase the peerless ability of our students to excel when afforded challenging opportunities in our MERIT centers, which are now operated by our sister company, iMerit Technology Services.
