We are all set to celebrate World Youth Skills Day on 15th July, yet in India, only 21.2% of the 589 million-strong workforce is formally skilled, reflecting the deep dearth of opportunity among the nation’s youth.
This stands as a sharp contrast against the nations we recently surpassed in the race of becoming the world’s 4th largest economy. Remarkably, 90% of our GDP is generated by just 10% of the workforce.
