Technology is often described through machines, platforms, software, and inventions. National Technology Day in India is not just about celebrating scientific achievements—it’s about expanding who can participate in India’s rapidly growing digital economy. Considering this fact, we must ensure that no one is left behind.
At Anudip Foundation, technological evolution is observed in a different way. It is in the hands of a young woman switching on her first laptop, a first-generation learner writing a line of code, and a student with limited resources preparing for a digital career that once felt out of reach.
India’s digital revolution is in full swing, transforming the way we work, live, and learn. But for a lion’s share of youth from underserved communities, opportunities are often out of reach due to a lack of resources, access to quality education, and guidance on how to tap into the digital workforce. That’s where we come in – offering digital skills training, career readiness programs, and placement assistance to the next generation of the workforce, particularly women and individuals with disabilities.
National Technology Day – The History and How Anudip is Looking at it
National Technology Day is celebrated every year on May 11, following the successful conduct of the Pokhran-II tests under the leadership of then-Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee in 1998.
The day is a call to action for all Indians to appreciate the impact of technology on national development and to continue driving innovation.
National Technology Day 2026 India celebrates the remarkable growth as it has achieved the technological feat in education innovation as well. For example, STEM development programs in our country have gained exceptional pace as initiatives like Atal Tinkering Labs under Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) are set up across the country to foster coding, innovation, and hands-on training for the upcoming workforce.
The day is not only celebrated to recall successes but also as a stint to look forward and consider how we are embracing technology to create a better future for all Indians.
Responsible Innovation for Inclusive Growth – The Role of Anudip
As we celebrate National Technology Day 2026, the theme “Responsible Innovation for Inclusive Growth” echoes deeply with our mission. The central theme refers to the technology being beneficial for the people who need it the most, including underserved youth, women, and marginalized communities. This belief is manifested in all of our courses and programs at Anudip.
Tech Skilling Programs At Anudip

At Anudip Foundation, technology skilling is approached through a three-layered model designed to address both immediate livelihood needs and long-term systemic gaps in India’s digital economy.
The first layer focuses on underserved youth who remain excluded from employment opportunities due to rapid digitization and the evolving demands of the job market. Through industry-aligned technology training, placement support, and one year of post-placement handholding, Anudip enables young people to not only secure jobs, but also sustain and grow within their careers.
The second layer supports individuals whose career progression is limited by restricted access to emerging skills and professional learning opportunities. Through affordable, industry-recognized certification programs, Anudip helps learners strengthen their adaptability, remain relevant in a fast-changing technology landscape, and access opportunities that are often concentrated within high-cost skilling ecosystems.
The third layer, introduced as a focused intervention in FY 2025–26, invests in strengthening school ecosystems. Working directly with teachers and educational institutions, Anudip supports the development of STEM-oriented learning environments that encourage curiosity, confidence, and long-term participation in science and technology fields. A key focus of this intervention is increasing the participation of girls and young women in STEM pathways, an area where representation in India continues to remain limited.
Through these interconnected layers, Anudip is working to build not only technology-enabled livelihoods, but also a more inclusive and future-ready workforce for India.
Our Pledge – Technology Should Not Leave Anyone Behind

The key message of National Technology Day 2026 India is – technology should empower everyone regardless of their background, disability, or socio-economic status. The notion of inclusive growth does not mean limiting even a single student based on his/her living conditions, location, gender, disability, or income to a career in technology. We imbibe this belief, and thus, none is left behind in our programs.
Inclusion remains central to the model. A strong focus on women’s participation remains central to Anudip’s inclusion strategy. Over half of Anudip’s placed graduates are women, while several initiatives specifically target female participation in emerging technology sectors.
Partnerships with organizations such as UNICEF support blended digital learning programs for women in Jharkhand and Odisha, while collaborations with GIZ aim for 50% female participation in green skills and future-focused trades.
Our impact assessments reflect the transformative effect that technology careers can have on women’s agency and social standing. Among women alumni who completed Anudip’s training programs and entered the workforce, 95% reported experiencing greater respect within their families, while 96% became active participants in household financial decision-making. These outcomes highlight how access to digital livelihoods can contribute not only to economic independence, but also to greater confidence, voice, and long-term empowerment for women across underserved communities.
How does Anudip Ensure Success in Creating Tech Livelihoods?

Creating sustainable tech livelihoods requires far more than technical training alone. At Anudip, employability is built through an ecosystem that combines industry-aligned skilling, mentorship, career readiness, and long-term support for learners navigating rapidly evolving job markets.
Our programs are designed in consultation with employers and corporate partners to ensure learners are equipped with skills that directly correspond to current industry demand. From foundational digital literacy and communication training to advanced programs in Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence, Software Development, and IT Support, the curriculum is continuously adapted to meet emerging workforce needs.
To make learning accessible and scalable, Anudip follows a blended training model that combines classroom instruction across 90+ centers in India with digital learning through an integrated Learning Management System (LMS). This approach enables learners from underserved and remote communities to access high-quality training while developing familiarity with digital work environments.
However, technology skilling alone does not guarantee economic mobility. Anudip therefore places strong emphasis on workplace preparedness, including communication skills, confidence-building, interview readiness, and professional behaviour. Learners are also connected with employers through placement drives, hiring partnerships, mentorship sessions, and exposure to real workplace expectations.
A distinguishing aspect of Anudip’s model is its continued support beyond placement. Through post-placement engagement and handholding, learners receive guidance during their transition into professional environments, helping improve retention, confidence, and long-term career continuity.
This integrated approach is strengthened through collaboration with more than 400 corporate partners, academic institutions, foundations, and public sector bodies that contribute through funding, mentorship, curriculum support, internships, and employment opportunities. Together, these partnerships help bridge the gap between aspiration and access for thousands of young people entering India’s digital economy.
For Anudip, success is not measured solely by the number of people trained, but by the number of individuals able to build stable, dignified, and future-ready careers through technology.
Your Support Matters; It’s High Time to Build India’s Inclusive Tech Future

People of the marginalized classes may find it harder to gain access to this booming digital economy. Your donation can make a difference to these life-changing resources that learners from the marginalized communities need right now.
On this National Technology Day 2026, assist us to make it happen.
At Anudip, we believe that the technology of the future will be stronger if there are more people to define it. It could be the coder, the analyst, the support executive, the digital marketer, the AI trainers of tomorrow, or a coder, analyst, support executive, digital marketer, or entrepreneur of today that is sitting right now in a small classroom, waiting for that chance.
Donate today. Support digital skills. Fuel the future.
