In the serene fields of Arjunpur, a remote village in West Bengal where dreams struggled against financial constraints, Kartick Dutta’s aspirations soared higher than the sun. “My father’s toil in the paddy fields instilled in me a thirst for opportunities beyond the horizon.”
Venturing far from home, Kartick ventured to L&T’s Construction Skills Training Institute in Chacharavadi, Gujarat, where his aspirations took flight. Enrolling in the formwork carpentry course was just the start; alongside, he delved into the realms of digital literacy through Anudip’s sessions.
“From mastering the intricacies of word processing to delving into the world of internet banking, the digital age opened doors I never knew existed,” Kartick shared.
“Internet Banking, once a mystery, is now a tool I wield with confidence,” he says, his eyes gleaming with pride. “I’ve become adept at crafting documents, managing spreadsheets, and even crafting captivating presentations.”
Introduced to the wonders of Internet Banking, UPI Apps, and the Umang App, Kartick embraced these tools fervently, seamlessly integrating them into his daily routine.
His utilization of UPI Payment Apps has revolutionized his financial transactions, making life smoother and more efficient. “Thanks to the Digital Literacy Program by Anudip Foundation and Microsoft India,” Kartick says, his voice filled with gratitude, “I’ve transcended the barriers of my past, paving the way for a brighter future.”
Currently employed at CSTI, Anand, Gujarat, Kartick diligently applies his skills, overcoming challenges and distinguishing himself among his peers. Through the expertise he gained during the training, Kartick streamlined his work processes, confidently managing documents, spreadsheets, and presentations. His proficiency in digital literacy not only enhanced his job performance but also elevated his prospects for a promising future.
“With each triumph, I stand as a testament to the countless others like me,” Kartick declares with a smile. “We may start with humble beginnings, but with skilling and opportunity, we can all reach for the stars.”
