An Inside Look at Anudip’s Inclusive Job Placements for the physically challenged youth

In a world striving for inclusivity, initiatives like Anudip Foundation’s Specially-Abled-Vocational-Education (SAVE) program stand as shining examples of empowerment and opportunity. Since its inception in 2014, the SAVE Program has been transforming lives, bridging gaps, and fostering a truly inclusive workforce.

At its core, the SAVE Program recognises that abilities transcend disabilities. Anudip believes in the untapped potential within every individual, regardless of their challenges. SAVE equips its participants with the tools and confidence needed to thrive in the professional world through a comprehensive blend of technical skill training, soft skills development, and mentorship.

Seeking Suatainability

But success doesn’t stop at acquiring skills—it’s about securing meaningful employment. SAVE goes the extra mile by facilitating inclusive job placements, breaking down barriers, and opening doors to opportunities once out of reach. With over 8,500+ specially-abled candidates trained and 5000+ employed, SAVE has made a tangible impact on individuals and their families.

Strategic partnerships with 350+ corporate entities committed to diversity and inclusion play a crucial role. Collaborations with companies like Tech Mahindra, Concentrix, Tele performance, VGM consultants, Indigo, Accenture, Hindistan Unilever, etc. ensure access to several job opportunities.

Annual job fairs provide candidates with direct access to leading corporations, fostering an ecosystem where talent is celebrated regardless of ability. These job fairs, totaling over six till date, provide candidates with the opportunity to interview with leading corporate houses. This not only benefits individuals but also cultivates an ecosystem where talent is recognised and celebrated regardless of physical ability. The salary range for placements varies from a minimum of INR 1.3 lakhs annually to a maximum of INR 3 lakhs annual package.

Empowerment doesn’t end with job placement—with Anudip it’s an ongoing journey where commitment extends beyond the classroom, with dedicated mentors providing assistance for smooth transitions into the workforce. Monitoring beneficiaries for three months after placement ensures their integration into corporate life.

The impact of SAVE extends beyond individuals, challenging societal norms and reshaping perceptions of disability in the workplace. By showcasing talents and capabilities, the program inspires employers to embrace diversity.

Crossing Barriers

Despite its successes, the SAVE program encounters hurdles as disabled youth often favor remote employment and are hesitant to step out of their comfort zone in their hometowns to pursue opportunities in urban areas.

Anudip faces limitations in securing placements in remote regions due to the concentration of corporate companies in major cities like Bangalore and Kolkata. Moreover, generous government doles often foster a sense of complacency among disabled candidates, dampening their motivation to strive diligently in their endeavors.

In a world that marginalises the differently-abled, initiatives like SAVE offer hope and a blueprint for change. By providing tailored training, inclusive job placements, and ongoing support, SAVE empowers individuals to fulfil their potential and contribute meaningfully to society.
