The role supports a multi-state green skills and Electric Vehicle (EV) workforce initiative, with a strong focus on industry engagement, placements, apprenticeships, and promotion of the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
Key Responsibilities
Industry Engagement & Partnerships
- Identify, onboard, and manage partnerships with EV manufacturers, OEMs, Tier-1/2 suppliers, charging infrastructure companies, and green mobility enterprises.
- Enlist New green industries onto the NAPS portal across four states.
- Build strong relationships with industry associations, sector skill councils, and government stakeholders.
Govt–Industry Roundtables
- Plan and organize Govt–Industry Roundtables (3 per state) focused on EVs, green jobs, and apprenticeships.
- Coordinate with state government departments, industry leaders, and training partners to drive participation and outcomes.
- Document key insights, MoUs, and action points from each roundtable.
Placements & Apprenticeships (NAPS)
- Facilitate apprenticeship and placement opportunities for trained candidates under NAPS.
- Support industries in NAPS registration, apprenticeship contract creation, and compliance.
- Track apprenticeship commencements, completions, and conversion to full-time employment.
Candidate Placement & Coordination
- Align candidate skills with industry demand in EV assembly, battery technology, charging infrastructure, maintenance, and green mobility services.
- Coordinate interviews, job fairs, and campus-to-industry connects.
- Maintain placement records, MIS, and employer feedback.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare periodic placement and apprenticeship reports for internal review and donor/government stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to project targets, timelines, and state-wise deliverables.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of EV ecosystem, green jobs, and skill development programs
- Working knowledge of NAPS / apprenticeship frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management and coordination skills
- Event management experience (roundtables, industry meets)
- Strong communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate / Postgraduate in Management, Social Sciences, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in placements, industry partnerships, skill development, or government-linked projects
- Experience in Placement EV, automotive or green energy sectors preferred
- Prior experience with state or central government schemes is a strong advantage
Travel Requirement
- Frequent travel within the assigned state and occasional inter-state travel
